BONEBRIDGE

Who it is suitable for

The BONEBRIDGE can be used for a sound conduction hearing loss or mixed hearing loss as well as in unilateral deafness.

Conductive or mixed hearing loss

  • Ear malformations (e.g. atresia)
  • Radical cavity
  • Chronic inflammation of the middle ear
  • Cholesteatoma
  • Tympanosclerosis
  • Large difference between bone and air conduction threshold
  • No sufficient benefit from hearing aids

The BONEBRIDGE is suitable and approved for children from 5 years of age.

BONEBRIDGE

Active bone conduction implant

  • 1

    Audio processor
The audio processor is held in place by magnetic attraction over the implant. It picks up sound signals, converts them into electrical 2 signals, and sends them to the implant.

  • 2

    Implant
The implant receives the signals and forwards them to the BC-FMT (Bone Conduction Floating Mass Transducer).

  • 3

    BC-FMT
The BC-FMT converts the signals into mechanical vibrations and transmits them to the bone.

  • 4

    Inner ear
The inner ear is directly stimulated by the vibrations of the bone, thus avoiding pathologies in the outer and middle ear.
