Audio processor
The audio processor is held in place by magnetic attraction over the implant. It picks up sound signals, converts them into electrical 2 signals, and transmits them to the implant. - 2

The implant receives the signals and transmits them to the FMT (floating mass transducer). - 3

The FMT converts the signals into mechanical vibrations, which stimulate the structures of the middle ear. - 4
Inner ear
The mechanical vibrations naturally stimulate the inner ear. The inner ear then transmits nerve signals to the brain, where they are perceived as sound.
